FAQ

When is TF2 Center going to be released?

As bad as it sounds, we don't know. We've made the mistake in the past of giving dates that we didn't deliver on, and we want to avoid that. We have a date in our minds, and its in the not-too-distant future (before the end of the year), but we're being overly cautious and not giving away any firm dates yet. Instead, we'll be giving regular updates on this blog (both to show progress and to drive us along), as well as giving indications of progress through other means rather than setting a deadline.

Is TF2Center any different from TF2Lobby?

TF2Center is aiming to be a place to organise competitive matches. To start with, we will be taking the ideas of lobbies and added extras (such as restrictions and slot reservations), as well as fixing issues that the community has mentioned or we've noticed ourselves (slowness, downtime, reporting system).

After initial launch and depending on how successful this project proves, we plan to move into other areas of competitive match organising and see if we can help make those more straightforward for players.

    2. Is this feature already available? Sorry, maybe I'm wrong, but your reply does not make that clear.
If it is already available where is it?

    3. Erm, When I press Log In Through Steam, it doesn't work. Nothing happens. Like, after a while, it says "failed to load page", and if it does show the website, it's just freezing up on that website forever. Help? :S

    1. Until we have only 3 measures of a skill: reliability, amount of lobbies played, amount of hours played in TF2. We have a plans for further developing of ranking system.

  12. The beta yesterday was overall amazing, the features are tremendous, the graphic components are great, the layout is very user-friendly, the design is refined and not to clustered. If I may, I would like to maybe to give a couple suggestions.
-Have the elements of the page resize dynamically when resizing the window in the in-game browser
-I think that the “Join Sub” was not working.
-To the extent that that would be possible, have an in-game visual alert, like a little notification that would appear when the lobby is full. I have noticed that lots of people (including me) lose their spots because they are playing and forget to check if the lobby is full.
-I couldn’t send my message on the front page through the main chat. The enter key would simply skip a line.
-Unicode symbols are marked as “?”
Other than that, I think that it is quite simply amazing. Bye-bye TF2 Lobby, hello TF2 Center
